Transportation Schedule Changes

The 2019/2020 School year will bring a change to the scheduling of pick up and drop off times for your student. The Transportation Department will now be using a Tiered busing schedule. Please check your student calendars for new school start times, and be aware that we will be transporting Middle School, Homyak and High School students first, and return to transport Elementary students second.

Measles Public Health Notice

Public Health Notice – Measles
Between January 1 and May 10, 2019, the U.S. has 839 cases of measles in 23 states. Six states are experiencing ongoing outbreaks of the disease. A measles outbreak is defined as three or more cases in 1 month. This is the greatest number of cases reported in the U.S. since measles was eliminated in 2000. Additional measles cases may occur if travelers get measles elsewhere and bring it to communities where residents are not vaccinated against the disease. As of May 1, 2019, there are no cases of measles in Colorado (there was one measles case in January from an adult who traveled overseas). (Please click the heading for more information.)

RFP/Proposal District-Wide Fixed Asset Inventory

Weld Re-8 School District is requesting statements of qualification / proposal for an accurate, comprehensive fixed asset inventory of District assets using barcode technology and valuation of District assets to determine replacement cost for insurance reporting purposes. In general, the District is composed of about 350 employees serving approximately 2,500 students. It owns six (6) school sites and three (3) support building with approximately 550K square feet of building space. Substantial inventory changes are expected, including those directly related to construction and renovation projects over the next year. The length of the contract will be project-based, for the length of an initial inventory beginning September 9, 2019, with an option to provide follow-up inventories on an agreed-upon recurring timeframe.

FLHS Participates in Every 15 Minutes Program

On May 1st and 2nd, 2019, Fort Lupton High School and the Rocky Mountain Every 15 Minutes Cooperative will present a drunk driving / safe decisions program at the school. During this time there will be an increase presence of emergency personnel and an adjusted schedule. Please be aware that the Fort Lupton High School understands the importance of this very emotionally charged program and have taken steps to have additional support staff on site for those students and staff that may need to talk with someone.
