Dear Weld Re-8 Staff,
On Sunday, September 13, 2026, Weld Re-8 School District detected unusual activity in its IT environment which disrupted the availability of certain systems. We promptly secured and isolated systems and initiated our incident response plan. As part of our response, we commenced an investigation and are communicating with law enforcement.
We are working diligently to complete our investigation and to restore normal operations as quickly and as safely as possible. At this time, however, the following systems/applications remain temporarily unavailable: internal network services such as printing and on-premises network drives. External internet access from the Weld8 network. Please note that this outage does not impact cloud-based systems such as the Google Workspace and Infinite Campus.
