Established Walking Distances

Preschool - No transportation provided.

Kindergarten-5th Grade:  0.5 miles

6th - 8th grades:  1.50 miles

9th-12th grades:  2.0 miles

The measurement of walking distance shall be determined by taking the most direct driving route possible from the school drop off to the pickup location.

The District will allow exceptions to the distance radius as outlined provided that there is space on a first come, first serve basis when space is available on the bus for in-boundary schools only (only exception is for students who have a sibling in a specialized program to meet their needs on an IEP that is not served in their in-boundary school).  It is also possible to lose this opportunity for behavior, attendance, and/or space issues that arise after permission has been granted.

Pick Up Times

If your child is assigned to ride the bus, transportation will notify the parents/guardian prior to school start with an estimated pickup time.  This is only an estimate and can vary the first few weeks of school as additional riders may be added or deducted to routes. Please, have your students at the designated bus stop 5 minutes before the estimated time given.

What do school bus lights mean?

Flashing Yellow Lights - Slow down and use caution; the bus is approaching a student stop!

Flashing Red Lights - STOP, do not pass the bus.  Students are actively loading or unloading the bus, which could include crossing the street.

Together we can keep our kids safe!
