Toddler Program
Weld Re-8 School District's Early Childhood Education (ECE) program is dedicated to cultivating a foundational love of learning from the earliest possible age, providing a vital start for the youngest members of our community. We offer a holistic and enriching educational experience in a stimulating, nurturing, and highly engaging environment. Our focus is on being a supportive partner to parents in nurturing happy, curious, and well-adjusted young learners.
Toddler Program (Ages 1 to 3 years):
Designed to support the whole child through play-based learning and creative arts, this program is organized into two distinct classrooms (1-2 year olds and 2-3 year olds) to focus on early sensory exploration, communication, self-help skills, and preparation for pre-school concepts.
Toddler Program
Weld Re-8 School District's Toddler Program is dedicated to cultivating a foundational love of learning from the earliest possible age, providing a vital start for the youngest members of our community. We offer a holistic and enriching educational experience in a stimulating, nurturing, and highly engaging environment specifically designed for children between the pivotal ages of one and three years old.
Safety and Supervision:
The well-being and security of every child are our paramount concerns. We ensure continuous, vigilant supervision provided by a team of compassionate, reliable, and experienced adult caregivers. Our low child-to-staff ratios are maintained to guarantee personalized attention and care for each toddler throughout the day.
Curriculum and Activities:
Our developmentally appropriate curriculum is designed to support the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively. Toddlers engage in a diverse, daily array of stimulating activities that encourage exploration and growth:
● Play-Based Learning: Structured and unstructured free play is essential for developing creativity, problem-solving skills, and social interaction.
● Creative Arts: Artistic creations, including painting, drawing, and sensory activities, foster fine motor skills and self-expression.
● Music and Movement: Singing, dancing, and various movement activities support gross motor development, rhythm, and language acquisition.
● Early Literacy and Language: Introduction to books, storytelling, and interactive language games helps lay a strong foundation for future reading success.
● Social-Emotional Development: Activities focus on sharing, cooperation, managing emotions, and building positive peer relationships.
